Plus Size Tankini - Sexy And Confident
By Berry Spoke
Just because you are a plus size woman does not mean that you cannot have a cute swim suit! In the past, there were very few options for swimwear for plus size women. Today, there are just as many suits in plus size than there are in regular sizes. Consider buying a plus size tankini if you are unsure what style is the most flattering.
Depending on your mood and the look you are going for that day, there are hundreds of possibilities with a plus size tankini. Some top styles include: ones with straps that can be removed, pleaded, underwire, and push ups. Some styles of bottoms include: boy shorts, high cut bikini, full bottom bikini, thong, and skirt. They also come in dozens of different colors and designs. Feel like pink and black polka dots, tie dye print, or a coral pink? Those styles definitely would not be hard to find especially at stores like Fashion Bug which has a hug line of plus size clothing and swimsuits. Tummy control swim tops are also available now along with all over control tops, too. Most tops with underwire go by the woman’s bra size so you are guaranteed to get a good fit and great support.
Geometric Halter Tankini Top
Almost every major store sells plus size tankinis and they are very affordable. Some stores that sell this product include: Lands’ End, Bloomingdale’s, Fashion Bug, JCPenny, Macy’s, Target, and Wal-mart.
A great buy from Fashion Bug is the Geometric Halter Tankini Top. This top is extremely adorable. The geometric shape actually helps to visually improve your bust along with the softly padded bra in it. It also has a contrast colored band at the empire waistline which will make your waist look smaller. The top alone is $22 and the matching bottoms can be purchased for about $24 as well. This is a great price. Plus size swim suits in the past were more expensive than regular sized ones. Obviously, this is not the case anymore which is great. The styles of the tankini suits from Fashion Bug are by far the cutest ones I have found on the internet and the prices are the most reasonable.
Coco Reef Skirted Tankini
In comparison, a plus size tankini from Macy’s costs about $58 for their coco reef skirted bottom and $68 for the matching flower print twist front tankini top. Although this tankini is more expensive than the one from Fashion Bug, it has more detailing and the added bust support is available due to the built in underwire bra.
With all the variety of plus size swimwear now available, there is no need to buy the first thing you see. Take someone with you and have them take pictures of you in each different suit to help you decide your favorite. If you do not have time to try swimsuits on, try online shopping. It is very easy to compare prices and a lot faster too. With seasonal discounts and free shipping offers, you may just realize how much economical it really is.

Mix It Up!
Overall, if you are in the need for a plus size swim suit this year, do not just buy the first one you find thinking it will be hard to get one. Plus size tankinis are in almost all major stores now so shop around. Mix it up and try new suits that you never thought you would before. Make sure and buy at least one basic style in black in either the bottom or the top of a tankini so that you can get the most for your money.
Just think, if you bought one inexpensive black pair of bottoms, you could get five different colors or prints of tankini tops and never be bored with your summer wear ever. Just remember that by finding the perfect tankini top and bottom, you will feel much more happy, satisfied, and confident about yourself. Maybe you will even go to events that you normally would not like a pool party. A woman can never have too many purses, hats, jewelry, or shoes. Thanks to all of the selection of tankinis out there for plus size women, you can add that to the list too!
